Oh. My. God!!!! I *love* Friends! Definitely my favourite 90s/2000s TV show. So far when it comes to the Sorting Hat episodes, the only ones where I really knew everyone well were Stranger Things, The Baby-Sitters Club, How I Met Your Mother and The Wizard of Oz. I’m so excited for this episode! I actually started OotP yesterday and if it was any other Sorting Hat, I would have just put a pin on it.
My husband also gets annoyed with the edited Netflx version. Maybe we go back to the DVDs that we do own.
Janice is such a hilarious character. I’m glad that she made the cut. Awww, I love Mike but my husband favours David.
The Sorting Turkey actually sounds a bit like the Holiday Armadillo. 🙂
I think my favourite is Chandler. My husband has some Monica tendencies, which makes sense. Mondler is definitely my favourite ship.
Joey makes sense as a Hufflepuff. I would have sorted Ross in Ravenclaw too. Oh, Pheobe is definitely a Slytherin. Monica’s sorting was quite the journey. I would have placed her in Gryffindor and I’m glad that’s how it went. I’d sort Chandler into Hufflepuff but that could be my bias to be in my house. I can accept Ravenclaw! I would have had a hard time sorting Rachel myself. I do like the Gryfindor arguement.
I can’t believe after two and a half years you still have to defend yourselves to Hufflepuffs and Slytherins. I guess it’s the ongoing disclaimer as new listeners hop on.
The button was very other-worldly. I’m glad that the audio was able to be fixed!
I LOVE the concept of this episode (also a huge Friends fan and super-agree with “hating Friends doesn’t make you interesting”) and I’m about 22 minutes in, but…. There’s a tapping noise throughout most of this episode so far that’s driving me nuts… Doesn’t quite sound like typing since it’s a little more random, more like paper tapping on a desk, but man.

Sorry for the audio quality – it can be tough when we have guests because there are more inputs and we can’t control all the background noise. We noticed the tapping and mentioned it while we were recording but none of us could figure out where it was coming from. Hope you were able to enjoy the episode despite the annoyance!!
