Snape reveals himself as a master of sass when he makes a surprise visit to Grimmauld Place. Harry reluctantly parts with Sirius, and Lupin and Tonks enjoy their first date as group chaperones on the Knight Bus. Harry’s unhappy return to Hogwarts is made worse with his first session of Remedial Potions (Good Lord, he must be terrible, Snape doesn’t usually give extra lessons, does he?) And with his mind weakened (perhaps intentionally?) by Snape, Harry experiences another vision (possession? connection?) which lets him know that Voldemort is very, very happy about something.

I definitely never suspected Kreacher at all! But if Dobby was able to leave the Malfoys then it should have been realized sooner.
Well, he has the DA… and Cho!
I’m surprised that Snape got the upper hand on Sirius.
I’m listening to the audio version so I completely missed out on the Makintosh reference. Thanks for bringing it up. Gosh, those editors are getting lazy.
Tease if you must, but Fernwithy really capitalizes in the time together after the Knight Bus to create a real shift in the relationship. I’m having the best time reading Shifts. If you ever want to read a fanfic, that would be the one I’d recommend the most.
The Hogwarts Express still runs — it was just safer for Harry to stay with an Auror.
The gift of the mirrors is adding salt in the wound. 🙁
