We see in this book that at least for now, Hermione’s only real friends are Harry and Ron. And yes, it is sad when they are not getting along.
I think we are all a bit confused as to the actual powers of a Bogart acting as a Dementor.
Listening to the podcast I was impressed with how similar the idea of casting a Patronus is to the way Peter flies in Peter Pan. Happy thoughts 🙂
I love that Harry was not written as a miracle wizard. In many ways, he is just an ordinary kid.
I wonder if the Dementors are attracted to harry due to the Horcrux within him.
Come on ladies. As far as we know in the story at the moment Crookshanks just killed Ron’s pet, one of the few things that was his own. Hermione had no control over her cat.
When it comes to judging the actions of these kids, I’m forever forgetting that they’re only 13, which adds to immature moments. Oliver Wood is definitely a low-key MVP in PoA! Lol, Trelawney is becoming predictable! I thought Hermione was tsk-ing. A real Dementor would have been more than eager to participate. I really liked the conflict between wanting to succeed at the Patronus but still wanting to hear his parents. Considering that butterbeer is served to children, I thought it has as much alcohol as root beer. My the wiki states otherwise by pointing out that house elves can get drunk off of it. Considering how much Harry did for the Wizarding world, you’d think that more people would shower him with gifts à la Hunger Games.
